During the last school year this group of young people were trained by the Red Cross in Violence Prevention and Bullying. It is very important to have a school community where all students feel safe and have someone to turn to for help and support if they need it. At SCS we have a Student Services Department which provides counselling as well as access to outside agencies that assist students when needed. However, some students would rather turn to someone their own age. It is for this reason that we have the VIP group. If you would like to talk to any one of these students for support you can do so by contacting them through the guidance office. We can assure you that your conversations will be confidential. The only time they would not be confidential is if you were going to hurt yourself or someone else. No concern is too big or small, so if you need someone to talk to come and get the support you need.
